“One life one Mission” .As a part of Man.Eknathjis Janma Sati Parva a statue of Swami Vivekananda was unveiled in the campus of Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya,Ramnagar,Silchar on 11th January 2015. A committee consisting of 33 members was formed for inauguration programme named as Swami Vivekananda Pratimurti Udbodhan Samity(SVPUS).
Prof.N.V.Deshpande,Director NIT,Silchar has been made the President of the samity.He is the donor of the Swami Vivekananda Statue. It is made of fiber glass and its height is 9 ½ feet. The pedestal and background work was done by Sri Bachhu Das a renowned artist of Barak Valley.
At the outset of the programme Swami Pitambarananda ji Maharaj a senior monk Ramakrishna order unvailled the Statue of Swami Vivekananda.Alongwith him Swami Swasthananda ji Maharaj ,Secretary Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram, Silchar ,Swami Nareshananda ji Maharaj,Secretary Ramakrishna Mission Sevashram ,Karimganj were present in the statue innogral programme.
Working President of the committee Sri Panna Lal Bakshia senior CA of Silchar, welcomed all the invitees present in the programme.
A melodious vivek geet’ Hey Vivekananda Swami’… was presented by the students of the Vidyalaya. Sri Shasanka Roy Principal of the Vidyalaya presented the school report in brief and the different activities undertaken by school. In his report he mentioned thatbeacuse of the co-peration from the parents,well wishers,studentds and teachers the Vidyalaya is going to complete its successful 10 years. On this auspicious he took the opportunity to release the first edition of School Magazine “SAMYOG”by the Guest of honor Sri Barenya Das ,ADC ,Cachar. In his speech he appreciated the students for their contribution in magazine and appeal everybody to inculcate the values from swami Vivekanandas life and message.
A geet on Eknathji Hum anuyaye Eknath ke ….was presented by100 students togather as a part of Eknathjis 100 years Celebration. A speech was delivered byMan. Pravin Dabholkar ,Joint General Secretary, Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari. In his speech he highlighted about about Eknathjis Mission and Vision fot the Nation.
‘We Should not think it’s a mere statue but Swami ji itself standing here to inspire us everyday we should offer prayer and pray’ said by Chief Guest Swami Pitambarandaji Maharaj,a senior monk Ramakrishana order Belur Math.

On the same day annual programme of the School was conducted where students from classes KG-IX performed melodious songs and beautiful multicultural dances in front of audience. Tabla Lahara was also presented by the students of the Vidyalaya.
An Exhibition on Science,Arts, Social Science and Mathematics was kept on that day where the students from all three V.K.Vs(Ramnagar,Borojalenga,Badarpur) of Barak Valley took part in the Exhibition. Exhibition was inaugurated by Prof.N.V.Deshpandey Director NIT.Silchar. The programme ended with Shantimantra.
