Swami Vivekananda was the fiery and youthful symbol of “Jagadguru Bharat’s” reawakening spirit - the first visible manifestation of which was the attainment of Independence. He shook the powerful west with the message of India and Indian culture, as a result of which;
-
The West realized the greatness of India
-
Indians were awakened to the mission and destiny of the Nation – to guide the world
-
Indians realised “Love for the Motherland is the path to greatness”
-
The faith of younger generation increased that they are the creators of destiny
-
Swami Vivekananda became the synonym of VIJAY. This conquering spirit of the Indian youth which restarted with Swami Vivekananda’s Western conquest is reflected even in the present times by the Indian supremacy in fields of IT, scientific research, various sports, etc.
-
Help create a positive atmosphere in the College / Institution campus.
The occasion of the 150th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda- 12 January 2013 is therefore appropriate occasion to reignite the youth with Swami Vivekananda’s life moulding ideals and thus speed up the process of making Bharat Jagadguru.
Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari was started in 1972 at Kanyakumari where Swami Vivekananda realised the mission of his life – to reawaken Bharat. To achieve the objective of “Man Making Nation Building” Vivekananda Kendra has started the unique programme of “VIJAY HI VIJAY” to reach out to Universities and Colleges on a large scale. This State level Leadership programme for the youth has already been successfully organized in Rajasthan, Gujarat, Maharashtra, MP, Assam, Arunachal Pradesh and Tamil Nadu with actual participation of more than 200000 students from more than 2000 colleges. The same programme will be organized in all 30 districts of ODISHA in the period July-December 2011.
Vivekananda Kendra, being a Voluntary organisation, organises all this work with voluntary contribution of time, energy and resources by socially aware people. We solicit your expertise and cooperation for the success of this national mission.
