Anna Puja1.“Sri Rama Jaya Rama” Mantra was chanted during Deepa Pooja, Shivalinga Pooja and also daily by our balwadi school children, cultural class students and during monthly meetings by our balwadi teachers and Social Workers. Every month nearly 5, 12,121 times mantras were chanted in 84 localities.
2.Through 74 Balwadis, 1,804 rural Children were nurtured. In all the Balwadis, Malt along with hygienically prepared highly nutritive lunch with vegetables was served during the day. And in the evening vitamin-rich cereals were provided to the children.
3.In our Medicare Program, 1,958 patients were examined and treated for various common ailments, through 20 Rural Medical Centers.
4.Eye camps were conducted at 5 places in which 749 were treated for their eye ailments and 206 were operated for cataract.
5.In 212 Samskara Vargas, 6,635 students participated. The students were taught about the values of Indian Culture, through games, lectures & lessons. The feelings of oneness were strengthened among participants, through patriotic songs and games.
6.Under Adopt A Grannie Parent Programme, 26 destitutes and old people were provided with monthly solatiums, in the form of rice, dhal, oil, etc., for their livelihood and 45 persons provided rice only, in five Southern districts of Tamilnadu
7.Monthly deepa poojas were organized in 243 village temples in five districts of Southern Tamilnadu, in which 8,631 ladies participated and offered prayers for the welfare of self, family and the society.
8.Under Amrita Surabhi Scheme, our Kendra workers collected 588 Kgs of rice from Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi and Ramnad districts.
9.Through various branch centers and book stalls, literature books were sold for Rs. 22,435/-
10.Subscriptions for 74 Vivekavani, 2 years one, 3 years one, life one and 4 Patrons were collected.
11.80 women are being benefited in 4 Self Help Groups in Kanyakumari district.
12.Swadhyaya Varga was organised, one at Ramnad and one at Aruppukottai, in which 50 persons participated.
13.Yoga Varga has being conducted at three places, one each at Ramnad Thoothukudi, and Aruppukottai in which 73 persons attended.
14.5 tailoring units are functioning well, 4 in Tirunelveli district and 1 in Kanyakumari district with the total attendance of 94.
15.Shivalinga Poojas were conducted at two places in Kanyakumari District and 105 members participated.
16.Durga Pooja was conducted at two places, in Kanyakumari District in which 116 women participated.
17.1008 Deepa Poojas were conducted in Palavanatham on June 12 where 887 participated, at Ambai, on June 19 where 891 participated from more than 75 villages and at Thirupullani on June 26 where 807 participated. On June 12th and 26th ‘Maathar Maanadu’ and procession took place. On June 12th Secretary, RDP, Sri Ayyappan, Sri Sekar from Sankarankoil, Sri Nagasami of Kovilpatti and the Executive Officer of the temple participated. Bhajans and cultural programmes were performed by the local students. On 26th Sri Krishnamoorthiji, Secretary RDP, local well wishers participated in the ‘Maathar Maanadu’. On 19th at Agastheeswarar temple, Ambai, Kendra Vice President Ma, Nivedita didi, full time worker’s who were attending training, there and Sri Krishnamoorthiji, participated. 18.Anna Pooja was celebrated on June 26 at Aruppukottai in which 1300 kgs of rice was collected.
19.Personality development camps were conducted at Vallankumaranvilai of Kanyakumari district on June 10 & 11 in which 37 participated,
20.Sri Vivekananda’s 150th Birth anniversary committee meeting was held at Valliyoor, Kovilpatti and Aruppukottai in which 74 participated.
21.Educational aid was given on June 11 to the students of Sri Jeyendrar Matriculation School, Surandai. The donor was Sri Murugesabharathi. The students benefitted were Ms Ganeshya (Rs. 4000/-), Mast Muthu Subramaniam (Rs. 4000/-) of Tenkasi and Ms Vasanthi (Rs. 3000/-). Similarly on June 17, educational aid was given to the students at Ambasamudram. The beneficiaries were Ms.Nellai Nayaki and Ms. Sankara Gomathi of Ambai. The donor for this is Sri Sriganesh Nanagopal. Apart from this, through Swami Vivekananda Trust, high schools and college students of Tirunelveli, Thoothukudi were benefitted by the Educational Aid - students benefitted were Ms Pitchammal Rs 1000/-, Ms Muthu Selvi Rs. 1000/- and Sudalai Esakki Rs. 1500. Also Educational Aid was distributed from Kovilpatti (Rs. 9,000/-) and Virudhunagar (Rs. 8,000/-)
22.Cultural class Teacher’s Training were held on June 25, at Sankarankoil, where 14 participated.
23.This month, we have distributed the rice which was collected through Amrit Surabhi and Anna Pooja to Balwadi children, old poor people and also through the following institutions, educational institutions etc., as follows:
