Vivekananda Kendra Kanyakumari, Dakshin Prant, Tamil Nadu Vibhag, Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya Matriculation Higher Secondary School, Vallioor organized a Matru Pooja at the school premises on 13th March 2024, starting from 10.30 a.m. A total of 150 students and parents actively participated in the event. Smt. Gomathi from Mag Gas Agencies, Vallioor, graced the program as the Chief Guest along with Sri S.K. Subramanian Ji, Correspondent of VKV MHSS, Vallioor.
The program commenced with a prayer song, followed by the lighting of the lamp by dignitaries on the stage and parents. The welcome address was delivered by teacher Smt. Muthu Lakshmi. Teacher Smt. Chandra Selvi spoke about the importance of celebrating Matru Puja. Under the guidance of a teacher, students performed the Patha Puja to their parents, and the holy vibrations spread throughout the hall with mantras chanted by the students led by teacher Smt. Bavani. Parents wholeheartedly blessed their children, and the teachers blessed them together.
The Chief Guest delivered a felicitation address, emphasizing that there is no other institution like Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya in educating children about culture and tradition. Correspondent Sri. S.K. Subramanian presented the Chief Guest with a memento. Teacher Smt. Subbulakshmi delivered the vote of thanks. Lunch was arranged for all the parents. Students and parents expressed their gratitude towards the institution for providing a platform to develop bonds of love, care, and concern among their children.
