Kalapataru Diwas celebration is on 1st January.
Thakur Sri Ramakrishna Paramhansa Blessed all his disciples and they all received what they deserve to receive.
Vivekananda Kendra considers this Bharat, Bharatiya Samaj, as Kalpataru. She fulfills and has the capacity to fulfill all wishes of all the citizens, nay the World. And hence, work for Her and make Her more capable remembering 'Jeevane Yavadadanam syat pradanam tatodhikam'. In this connection I would like to cite a wonderful story which Parampoojaneeya Golwalkar Guruji used to tell.............
Once a King lost in war and escape to save his life and reached in jungle, he was tired & hungry. He found a ASHRAM in a jungle. He went inside and did SHASHTANG PRANAM to Rushi. Rushi ask @ him & others in his kingdom. King informed everything including lost in war, tired, scared, hungry. Rusi smile and show a VRUKSHA (Tree) in ASHRAM premises, and told him to go there and whatever u wish, u will get it.
King went to the VRUKSHA and did the wish and he got everything what he wished. King was so happy, he return back to Rushi and again did SHASHTANG PRANAM & seat there only. Something is confusing to King, and he was trying to get his answer by thinking but not able to get it.
By seeing this Rushi asked to King, What's the matter, do u want anything? King said I got everything what I wish, but.....". Rushi got that idea and gave single to ask without any hesitation. King asked, "Pujanaeeya Rushivar, you have a KALPAVRUKSHA in ASHRAM premises, and you all also know this. Then why all of you staying in Jungle and live Hard Life?
Rushi gave gentle smile and said, "Dear King, till we are here & having TAP (Hard Life), KALPAVRUKSHA will be here. When we will leave all this TAP (Hard Life) & SADHANA, that KALPAVRUKSHA will lost it's strength and will become normal Tree.
Thus the strength of the KALPAVRUKSHA is due to selfless TAP (Hard Life), regardless of what may happen in surrounding we all do the work with EKANTIK NISHTHA.
Our Bharat Mata, our Bharatiya Samaj is also Kalpavruksha. She provides us everything from womb to tomb. Before we come into this world, everything is already provided for us. The Society has made available all these. Should we not be grateful to Her? Should we not keep contributing alone for Her being Samartha? The more we contribute for Her glory, Her greatness, She getting enriched would be fulfilling the wishes of everybody.
And that is how, Vivekananda Kendra also looks at the Kalpataru Divas, Samartha Bharat Parva.
May all of us receive His Blessings on this special day and make our life a worthy life to be the servants of the Motherland! Let everyday of the year bring happiness, peace and prosperity in our lives and to the entire world! Prayers!
