Vivekananda Kendra Vidyalaya, Kallubalu (Karnataka Prant), celebrated Teachers’ Day and Sri Krishna Janmashtami on 5 September 2026. The programme witnessed a total participation of 347 people. Shri Aleman Murlidhar Ji, Karnataka Prant Sanchalak, and Smt. Geetha Muralidhar Didi, Nidhi Team, Karnataka Prant, graced the occasion as the Chief Guests.

The programme commenced with the chanting of the Shanti Pat, followed by Vivek Vani and the formal welcome of the Chief Guests. Students presented various cultural programmes, including Krishna Stotra, devotional songs, dance and drama, highlighting the life and message of Bhagavan Sri Krishna. The teachers performed Aarti to Bhagavan Sri Krishna, adding a devotional atmosphere to the celebration.

On the occasion of Teachers’ Day, the students expressed their gratitude by honouring every teaching and non-teaching staff member with tokens of appreciation, recognizing their individual qualities and contributions to the Vidyalaya. The sports prize winners were also felicitated during the programme.

Adding colour to the Sri Krishna Janmashtami celebration, students came dressed as Radha and Krishna. Following the programme, all the students enthusiastically participated in a Sri Krishna Janmashtami procession to Basavanna Temple, Kallubalu.

The celebration concluded with the distribution of Prasadam to parents, students, teachers and guests. The combined celebration provided a meaningful occasion to express gratitude towards teachers while also experiencing the devotional and cultural spirit of Sri Krishna Janmashtami.
