Vivekananda Kendra Vedic Vision Foundation (VKVVF), Kodungallur (Keralam Prant), celebrated Universal Brotherhood Day on 11 September 2026, from 3:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Ananda Dham, VKVVF Campus, Kodungallur. The programme witnessed a total participation of 30, including 12 children, 15 parents and teachers, and Karyakartas.

The programme was held after paying homage to Swargeeya Balakrishnan Ji, All India President of VRMVK. Universal Brotherhood Day is observed to commemorate Swami Vivekananda’s historic address at the World’s Parliament of Religions in Chicago on 11 September 1893, where he presented Bharat’s timeless message of universal acceptance, harmony and the oneness of humanity.

Mananeeya Dr. Lakshmi Kumari Didi, Director of VKVVF, addressed the gathering and spoke about Swami Vivekananda’s Chicago address, its profound impact on the world and the continuing relevance of his message. She highlighted how Swamiji presented the universal vision of Bharat before the world and called for harmony among people of different faiths and traditions.

Aadaraneeya Shri Sudhakar Ji, Senior Jeevanvrati Karyakarta of Vivekananda Kendra, also shared his thoughts on the significance of Universal Brotherhood Day and encouraged the participants to imbibe the spirit of brotherhood and harmony in their daily lives.

The programme concluded with the collective singing of Vande Mataram, reinforcing the message of unity, harmony and universal brotherhood.
